COMPETITION REPORTS
Report on Area 5 Dressage Competition held on Sunday 25th July 10 at Onley.
Onley Grounds with help from South Warwickshire RC ran the Open Dressage Qualifier at Onley Fields on Sunday 25th July.
We had entered the following Teams:

Sunday was dry and cool, the heavy rain promised in the week hadn’t arrived so the ground although level was very hard. Fourteen riders made up 2 Open and one Riders Teams plus 4 pairs!
At the end of the day the fortune of the Open teams was all dependent on the results from Novice 30. With all the results in Park Team came 1st with 6 pts, closely followed by Abbey Team on 7th pts taking 2nd place from Rugby on collectives. The Riders team came second and Emily and Penny won the Pairs. So Cathy, Sue B, Sue P and Emily qualified for Lincoln along with Emily and Penny in the Pairs and Sue Bullock in the Medium. Hopefully Sue Bullock on Zeneca who won Novice 28 and Laura Kennedy in RT11 will go through as individuals but all still to be confirmed by RC Office.
Individual placings within teams were as follows:
Novice 24: Cathy Fenn – 1st, Tracey Malka - 2nd and Penny Boon - 5th
Novice 27: Sue Parker – 2nd
Novice 28: Sue Bullock – 1st, Sue Parker – 2nd, Karen Bennett - 4th and Helen Forster – 6th
Novice 30: Karen Bennett – 2nd and Emily Smith-Poacher – 5th
Elem 45: Sue Bullock - 3rd, Cathy Fenn – 4th and Alice Bell – 5th
Medium 61: Sue Bullock – 1st
Riders Test 11: Laura Kennedy, 2nd and Tracey Malka – 3rd
Rider Test 13: Emily Smith-Poacher – 5th
Pairs: Penny/Emily – 1st, Sue/Sue – 3rd, Pam/Cheri – 5th and Laura/Katrina – 6th
I would like to thank all riders for competing for us and hope those who didn’t qualify come to Lincoln to support the teams.

To let you know how we did at the Senior Showjumping Qualifier for the National Championships at Lincoln in September.
Novice Show Jumping
We were 2nd overall with Rachel Horton-Barr and Jeannie 6th individually.
Intermediate Show Jumping
We were 1st with Helen Roberts and Moreton Hall Final Edition 3rd individually.
Open Show Jumping We won the class
Style Jumping Tracy Malka and Gristhills Slyfox were 1st=
So our Open Team of Rachel Horton-Barr, Claire Marston, Lucy Bell and Phillipa Gibbs; Our Intermediate Team with Helen Roberts, Jenny Yates, Helen Forster and Claire Boardman and our Style Jumping individual, Tracey Malka have all qualified for Lincoln.
